Our Commitment

The Salik Project UK is committed to treating everyone with dignity and respect regardless of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristic.

Our work is specifically focused on reducing health inequalities affecting South Asian communities. We welcome everyone and do not discriminate.

Accessibility

We are committed to making our services, resources and communications accessible to all. This includes providing bilingual resources and working to break down cultural and language barriers that prevent people from seeking help.

Protected Characteristics

We uphold the principles of the Equality Act 2010 and do not discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic, including:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Gender reassignment
  • Marriage and civil partnership
  • Pregnancy and maternity
  • Race, ethnicity and national origin
  • Religion or belief
  • Sex
  • Sexual orientation
